Our goal is to provide ice hockey throughout the year. If you are a current travel player looking for more ice, or a player that is currently not able to commit to the full travel schedule, this a great option!

WHAT TO EXPECT?
Our goal is to pick up non-league games, 3v3 games and tournaments as much as the team can participate in.
Our season will run year round from September - August.

Cost for tournaments will vary based on tournament and number of players.
Non-League Games/3v3
Coaches will seek to play non-league games throughout the season. This is ideal for the player that cannot commit to a full travel schedule and for the player that is looking for more! We strive to provide at least one a month. Cost for these games will be based on the number of players we have per game.
Practices
Practices will be at the discretion of the coach prior to tournaments. The cost will be divided evenly per practice for those attending. All players are encouraged to attend.
24-25 Tournament Team Information
Teams:
12U Team - Open to birth years 2012, 2013 & 2014 (2012 will play 14U in summer tournaments)
14U Team - Open to birth years 2010 & 2011 (2010 will play 16U in summer tournaments)
16U Team - Open to birth years 2008 & 2009
Cost & Uniforms:
$75 Administration Fee ( all players)
$100 Uniform Fee (All players must have full Kraken tournament team uniform)
Returning players must have a full uniform that still fits!
Returning players will keep their current Kraken number. All new players will be required to provide 3 number choices. We will do our best to accommodate.
***All games, tournaments and events will be pay to play. Final cost will depend on number of players attending***
What to expect:
Season runs from September 2024 - August 2025.
Registration will grant access to the Cape May Kraken teamsnap. All communication will go through teamsnap.

Tournaments: Tournaments cost will vary depending on roster size and tournament cost.
First Come First Serve Policy: To avoid overloading rosters, all games and tournaments will be first come first serve. We aim to keep the rosters at a maximum size of 15 skaters. If any team's roster reaches their maximum we will field an additional team if enough players are available.
LEVEL OF PLAY
Levels for the Cape May Kraken tournament teams have no correlation to regular season DVHL, AHF or NJYHL levels. What does this mean? If your child typically plays at the A level and is seeded on a B team with the Kraken, THIS DOES NOT MEAN that have been evaluated and deemed a lesser-skilled player. Our teams may enter a tournament as a B, A, and AA level based on the kids signed up for each tournament—this will be determined tournament by tournament. Levels will be determined based on the team as a whole, not any individual player.
